My new home state of TN was blasted by tornados and high winds yesterday, and those storms claimed at least 20 lives here, and almost 50 across several states last night. The rescue parties are still searching debris in an effort to find survivors and the dead.
My prayers are with the families and first responders...
As for the primaries, well. What can I say. If McCain and Obama win their parties, I'll vote for Obama. If Clinton and McCain win, I won't vote (and it will be the first time in 38 years of voting).
The Republican party is dead to me. There is no conservative "base", really. Either we are all dead or so disenfranchised it doesn't matter any more to either major party, and there is no one to blame but the two-party system that bailed on us, or perhaps ourselves.
In either case, I'm sure I'm not alone when I look to the heavens and say, Thy will be done.
It's all in His hands, where it always has been.
