Then in a wonderful display of love and mercy God reveals His love for us, bringing the Savior promised through the ages, God Himself provides the answer to our dilemma of sin and death, God gives all to save us and bridge the gap, revealing more of Himself and His nature in the process, and even more so by "insuring" and unitiing the Body through the gift of the Holy Spirit given to each believer.
The Bible is awesome read just as a book. It has all the ingredients: tragedy, love, death, violence, drama, suspense, hope: and delivering a happy ending way beyond what we could have anticipated. Of course the good guy wins
God's Word appeals to the very faculties, gifts and even the needs endowed by a gracious Creator: our inquisitive nature, our thirst for knowledge and truth, logic, love, understanding, and reason while at the same time answering the need He placed in our souls to know Him.
Without God, there is no truth. Without Christ, there is no salvation. The Bible is His word, produced by God the Holy Spirit Himself. And while it speaks to our minds and hearts, it's confirmed within the Body, and remains the promise fulfilled, the bulwark and foundation of a solid faith.
Like everything He creates, the Bible holds his unmistakeable signature.

Okay, I'm convinced. I would like to order one Copy please. Does that includ shipping?

Oh, word of advice: reroute your wagons around Utah.
Seriously, I am not convinced that “degradation” is really a good tactic in either apologetics or evangelism. I don’t know, I have never tried that. When it gets to the “tooth and nail” stage in “debates” I am usually out of there, looking for a more congenial time to discuss matters of faith.
mkay. i think i have finally figured out the mystery of bobby's posts:
a. Bobby has, quite appropriately i think, pointed out one of my personal shortcomings which happens to be that i am a hothead, i love a good fight, and i don't hesitate to go for the jugular with the least little bit of provocation. So? nobody's perfect.
and i can accept his comments in the spirit in which they were intended, in general, although I do not think they were meant to be posted as a comment under the "Bible" discussion. But like I said, nobody's perfect, and everyone is entitled to their opinion (though as I've pointed out elsewhere, the same does not apply to "facts").
b. I believe the first comment he made was regarding the "Bible" post, that makes sense. And, in case he doesn't know it, he can actually just call his local mormon meeting house and request a Free Copy that will be delivered to him personally, along with a nice shiny new Book of Mormon, by young men on bicycles with white shirts and black ties, who would be happy to tell him how he can become a God and be given his very own planet and several wives with which to populate it with Spirit Children.
c. i think the Second comment was actually aimed at the more previous post, being the Mormon Pop Quiz, which for some reason he sees as a form of "degredation" rather than, as I am sure BrianH originally intended, "enlightenment". Actually truth in and of itself is a form of degredation, especially when presented to those who don't understand their true sinful nature, nor the absolute holy nature of God Almighty necessitating their humble acceptance of their true position before Him. This happens to be the core problem with mormonism, because mormonism is nothing more than the Devil's First Argument tarted up and trotted out as a "new revelation" with Christ's name blasphemously pasted upon its disgusting forehead. Maybe I will talk about that someday too.

To which I seriously retort....
1: Yes, you can be a Big Bum @ times. And, no, I wasn’t clear about which post I was talkin’ about and I’m glad you sorted it all out.
2: I didn’t know I could order my own Mormon? Kewl I wonder if they will just send out guys or if any babes on bikes will hearken to my rescue? I need a few more wives around this joint. My present one can no longer support me in the manor in which I am accustomed.
3: I still hold that any criticism, except it be of the Devil himself, must arise from a loving disposition toward the errant soul who is still enslaved even if they be so convinced in their errors that they are the greatest proponent of the lie. Yes, we are keepers of the truth, defenders of it, but under the directive to speak it in love. It is the Devils trick to hate or be lead in that general direction.
